Australia 2009

Back in Novemeber Sebass, Tom and I made our way to the land down under. I really hate writing so this is just going to be a bunch of pictures with brief descriptions. Click the More link below to read more…

Australia is full of amazing cement skateparks. Theres a law down there that if a town has more than a certain amount of people they must build a skatepark. This skatepark is located in Sydney on Bondi Beach which you can see in the background. Not only was the park awesome and right on the beach, but the beach was topless as well.

This photo was taken the day we landed in Adelaide. Jaime, our unofficial tour guide, took us to a wildlife park where we fed a shit load of kangaroos. There were also some Tasmanian Devils, Dingos, Emus, Little rat things, and of course Koalas.

I forgot these dudes names but the guy on the left is Jaime. This was taken in Adelaide at Little Black Bike shop (dude on the right is the owner) where they had a Fit video premiere that day. We had some spicy ass indian food that day and rode a wild ass skatepark later in the evening.
The prices are so ridiculous for everything in Australia. Animal shirts were going for 50 dollars a pop… and that’s cheap. I think they were telling me jeans typically go for about 170.

Showing some chest hair at Jaime’s wedding. From left to right – Marc, Hayden, Sebass, Tom, Kane, and Luke. I didn’t even know I’d be attending a wedding down under. Tom had some pretty slick dance moves such as the “beer halo” and the “dog piss/hump”

If you ever go on a trip with Tom be prepared to wake up at 7am to ride and “Seize the day!”. This park was not too far from the adelaide airport, it also had a huge steel vert ramp and a little snake run. There was shit like this all over the place it was fucking awesome.

The only riding photo of the entire trip, and its of me! We were too busy shredding everything to take photos of us shredding everything. We must have rode about 17-20 different skateparks, all of them being cement.

Heres a park in Adelaide that was built in the 70′s. One deep ass cereal bowl, another rectangular bowl, and further down was a banked bowl with a little hump in the center.

Sebass learns the hard way of the importance of sun screen. There was heat wave while we were down there, just about everyday was 100 degrees plus. No humidity though. I would trade this shitty New York weather in a second for that heat wave.

Bowls everywhere you go. This spot was lots of fun. 2 bowls and a spine in the middle of a big grass field. We would drive around and just see random skateparks everywhere. It seemed like where ever there was a playground there was a skatepark not to far by.

After Adelaide we drove to Melbourne and camped out along the way. We stopped at a few towns and rode their parks. They actually sell a guide of all the skateparks in Australia so that helped us out a bunch. Heres our first tent set up. Sebass was sleeping ontop of some lumpy ass bush HA!

I hate living in New York.

Jump shot.

Somewhere along the way to Melbourne.

This is Louie, he is one wild dude with a striking resemblance to Austin Powers. We met him in Adelaide at Jaime’s wedding. He let us stay at his place in Melbourne for the last few days of the trip. He showed us around to some sweet parks and bars as well.

This is Xander. His time machine broke once he entered the future and were not sure if hell ever make it back to the 80′s. He is one of Louie’s roommates and a super cool dude. He was getting paid 40 dollars an hour to DJ at this place.
Well thats all. You can check out the entire photo album on our photos page. Just click on photosets and look for Australia 2009.
