Pier 62 Skatepark Meeting on Tuesday June 22, 6:30pm

Hudson River Park Trust has decided that only skateboarders and rollerbladers can use this park because of “policy.” We believe this decision has nothing to do with the longevity of the park, it’s design, or the current users of the park. This is pure discrimination against all other users who should have access to this public facility.
Please join us at the Battery Park City Library, 175 North End Avenue in Manhattan at Pier 62 on Tuesday June 22, 6:30pm to respectfully voice our disapproval and tell them the facts.
Pier 62 Grand Opening and why is BMX the same category as Scooters?
Why is Bikes and Scooters not allowed in Pier 62 Skate Park?
Is all Politics kids. And since when are BMX Bikes in the same category as Razor Scooters?
When did Fruitbooting become cooler then BMX? Can anyone answer that question for me?
Well do you wanna do something about Bikes not being allowed into Pier 62 and the new Skate Plaza on North Moore and West Street? If you want bikes allowed at every skatepark or skateplaza in NYC…you need to show up at this meeting.

Since 1999, the Hudson River Park Trust has overseen the planning, construction, management and operation of
Hudson River Park, which spans 550 acres along the west side of Manhattan, from Battery Park to 59th St. The park, now nearing completion, has been designed in segments by a host of renowned landscape architects to address recreational and public space needs, habitat support and celebration of the City’s waterfront history and
infrastructure. Connie Fishman, President of the Hudson River Park Trust, will discuss the process, constraints and progress of developing the park, second in size only to Central Park within the borough of Manhattan.
