More random riding photos
This is Sunil and Sebass lookin’ like a couple of homos in front of Slayerville skatepark
I had a real big picture of this on my computer but I accidentally deleted it. Alexis (the photographer of said photo) also had the original but I deleted his shit by accident too.
This is me chillin with Platinum at the trails before her rapid weight loss. Platinum is a marijuana eating weimaraner owned by… you guessed it, Alexis.
This is a photo of my friend Marty back when I was a camper at Woodward in 2005. I always tell people who haven’t gone to Woodward as a camper that the fun is 70% the people you meet and 30% riding. I have met some of the craziest people at Woodward and am lucky to have been able to go.
This is an old ass photo of me doing what looks like is an irish jig mid-air but is actually a downside whip. I tried to go as high as I could on this one and immediately ate shit upon my attempted landing. The fall resulted in me fucking up my hand and not being able to ride for quite some time… something that is becoming more and more frequent. I really love riding but sometimes I wish I didn’t fall so much. This photo was taken by Ben Hittle.
Here’s P.S. 6 local Joe Stazzone doing some kind of skateboard stunt. I’m clueless when it comes to skateboarding but it boggles my mind how people can maneuver a plank of wood so well using only their feet.
Tom Espo took this photo of me at our beloved but now pile of shit skatepark. This photo is the reason I don’t grow my hair out any longer. Perhaps I should have looked in the mirror a little more often.
Another shot at what used to be a good skatepark of Spam, Paino and I. Alexis took this photo.
This is my buddy Dennis Dombrow. I met him at Woodward through my friend Kevin Tierney way back in 2002-2003. Dennis is one of the funniest people I have ever met. He moved from Chicago to Texas and lived with Aaron Ross and Chase Hawk. You can watch him slicing fruit with a samari sword at said house in a somewhat recent Props interview. One time at camp he was wrestling our counselor and nearly snapped his neck. Dennis can now be found fighting people in cages as a professional MMA fighter. You can follow Dennis on twitter @d_liciousD.
This sums up Augie pretty well, wild as fuck. Augie is an extremely talented BMX rider and one hell of a dude. Little known fact: Augie is actually Italian and not Mexican.
This place was heaven on earth for me. These are the legendary South Beach ramps. So much shit has gone down here, so many memories, so many friends and so many good times. I spent every minute I could riding and hanging out at these ramps. I wish I could go back and do it all over again.
China Trip 2011 – Post #2
Here is the second of my series of China posts. Check out post #1 if you haven’t checked that out already.
Shanghai is pretty fucking huge. Everywhere we went there were huge apartment buildings, I guess they gotta fit all 23 million people somewhere. Imagine a much more spread out Manhattan, and it’s all China town.
We bought a bunch of cheap knock off shit in China. Here’s Gary trying on some sweet cyclops shades. I picked up a pair of Ray Bans for 7 bucks. I kind of regret not buying everything on first sight though… maybe next time.
Crazy ass street foods. One of these boxes had a bunch of live snakes in it. Who the fuck eats snakes? The Chinese thats who.
Sebass and I decided to kill some time by getting a 3 dollar foot massage. This was the most painful massage ever, at one point this lady was punching the shit out of my legs. The lady in the picture eventually got tired of beating my legs and was swapped out for a much older and even more painful masseuse who proceeded to offer me a blow job. No I did not accept. The best thing about this massage was that Sehorse and I could say whatever the fuck we wanted about these ladies and they didn’t understand one word of it. The worst part was that we couldn’t tell them to stop beating our legs.
Here’s a picture of Guy about to crush some innocent McDonalds patrons.
Fatbass decided that the native Chinese food wasn’t greasy enough so we had to go to Carls Jr to feed the beast.
This is SMP park one of the craziest parks I have ever ridden. It was at this exact moment when I realized I was a washed up old man. I wish I had some riding photos or videos but we really didn’t ride much here due to the excessive heat. It was probably somewhere around 90-100 degrees.
I saw a picture of this before I left for China and started planning out all the shit I would do in this bowl. It was a different story when I got there, this shit is fucking gigantic. These quarters range from 14-18 feet, you feel like a tiny little spec when inside of this thing. What the fuck were these people thinking when they built this thing? You need to be smoking a serious amount of crack to attempt to ride this thing.
This section was somewhat sane. The pictures really don’t do it any justice, the place is fucking nuts. The rusted coping makes it even more intimidating.
The tiny polish person you see in the photo above is Assbass. That full pipe is 30 feet tall and fun as fuck. We rode this thing the most. Guy helped rescue some frogs out of this thing.
Here’s a panorama I took after we shredded the park. Aren’t we clever?
We went straight from the sweaty skatepark to this restaurant in a mall. Needless to say we were all soaked from riding in that intense heat, so some of the boys needed to buy some clean clothes. This is what Gary and Shebass went with.
This is a photo of Sebass mid-evolution. Sebass goes from PompousBass in the morning to NiggaBass in the afternoon and eventually winds up as DrunkBass in the evening. Note the brass knuckles and crowded restaurant. And yes, he did finish the wine bottle to himself.
This was at the bar after the restaurant… I think I was the only one to read this sign because I’m the only one who didn’t end up in the hospital.
This is where alcohol will lead you to. Thank god I left the bar early because I really did not want to find out what a Chinese hospital is like.
Tom’s little arm vaginas.
Sebass didn’t participate much in the fight but somehow managed to end up in the hospital. Apparantly he got so fat that his guts don’t even fit in his small frame any more and began to protrude from his body. He was told he needed surgery immediately but opted to fix his intestines himself.
This is guy picking glass out of Tom’s face.
China Trip 2011 – Post #1
Earlier this month Tom, Sebass, Drew, Gary, Guy and I headed out to Shanghai to find ourselves some non english speaking wives meet up with Kane to experience China and live like fucking millionaires. On our trip we ate some weird foods and rode some sweet shit. This is the first of 2 or 3 posts I’ll be doing… check out the photos below.
This is a picture of Tom on the flight to Tokyo. As you can clearly see he is way fucked up on Ambien. After this photo he proceeded to take a picture of Guy and show him that he had four eyes. I guess he needs to get that Drug Free tattoo removed now.
Ed Pollio’s list of poisons just grew by one. Ambien = Poison.
After roughly 24 hours of flight we met up with Kane and got some street meat. I wonder what this dude is cooking?
Damn thats one big noodle… oh wait that’s an entire lamb penis.
I told you they don’t give a fuck. This lady is riding side saddle on a moped while talking on the cell phone and holding some bags… oh and she’s holding a baby. This wasn’t even the craziest thing I saw. Entire families on mopeds, people hauling piles of gas canisters on mopeds, even little boys peeing off of moving mopeds. You can also kind of tell from the photo that any kind of street rules don’t apply to mopeds. These people will be driving on the sidewalk, going the wrong way down busy ass streets, driving in the crosswalk, weaving in and out of traffic and blowing lights left and right. In fact I don’t think I ever saw one moped stop at a red light.
Big thanks to Kane at CNBMX.com for hooking us up with a place to stay. Kane runs this hostel and has had some big names in BMX come through.
People like Catfish, Adam22, Dennis Enarson and Rob Wise have had the pleasure of staying with Kane just to name a few.
Endless sea of mopeds. Everyone drives a moped. Also check out the sweet banks on those stairs.
Yours truly shredding the streets on a slippery marble bank to wall. We took a ride around town with Kane and there was little street shit everywhere. Marble ledges everywhere you looked. Shanghai is like a giant PS6.
This picture will give you a better idea of what kind of street there is everywhere you turn. Too bad it was 100 degrees+ almost everyday. The second you step outside you were soaked in sweat. Not the greatest riding weather.
Kane representing hard in this ultra tight GHB tee.
That’s it for todays post, I’ll do another one sometime soon which will include photos from SMP park which is absolutely nuts. Check back later for more.
We need to go to France and Ride!
Archinect’s Building of the Day series is brought to you by our friends at OpenBuildings.com, the web’s most comprehensive directory of buildings.

‘Cité de l’océan et du surf’, a project in Biarritz, France by Steven Holl and his wife, Brazilian artist Solange Fabião, opens in june 2011. The museum intends to raise awareness of oceanic issues and scientific aspects of the surf and sea. The design revolves around a central plaza that Steven Holl describes as ‘open to sky and sea, the horizon in the distance.’

A concave “under the sky” shape creates a central gathering plaza, open to sky and sea, with the horizon in the distance. The convex structural ceiling forms the “under the sea” exhibition spaces. This concept generates a unique profile and form for the building, and through its insertion and efficient site utilization, the project integrates seamlessly into the surrounding landscape.

Shaped like a giant wave, the museum is composed of delicate glass structures that anchor themselves into the encircling white concrete. The precise integration of concept and topography gives the building a unique profile. Towards the ocean, the concave form of the building plaza is extended through the landscape. With slightly cupped edges, the landscape, a mix of field and local vegetation, is a continuation of the building and will host festivals and daily events that are integrated with the museum facilities.

Boldly inserted into the site, the building uses transparency, form and material to generate a unique profile that rises from the terrain to frame the sky, sea and horizon. Read more onOpenBuildings.

St. Louis
These are a bunch of pictures from when Sebass and I took a road trip to St Louis, Missouri in 2006. We rode a shit load of awesome spots, check it out below.
When we got there Andy and Sam from Tree were headed out to this race and ended up taking the gold and the silver

This little park was fun. The best part was those sun blockers.
There were banks and hips everywhere we went. Here’s Sebass shredding a ditch.
This car was damaged by hail.
This is a cat we met that had a extra toe.
Shredding the streets.

We went to the Budweiser brewery and ate pretzels and drink beer. I also saw a dog take a shit under a wagon while the tour guide was showing us the Budweiser Clydesdales.
This is the top of the St. Louis Gateway Arch looking down.
View of the city from the arch.
There were a lot of billboards and signs on peoples yards that said “JESUS” in large letters.
Sebass and I headed out to find some stuff to ride and came across this sweet slanted curved wallride. I broke one of those lights by accident.

Wat Prastirarnaranrntnanrtrnntr

Andy took us to this sweet supermarket with banks going around the entire building. Needless to say it was pretty awesome.
The land of banks.

I love spots like this. This was an old bank with tight vert walls all around it. We were kicked out by an old chinese lady that emerged from the seemingly closed bank.

Raise the roof.
This was at Ramp Riders. It’s a pretty large skatepark on the second level a factory building that used to be a beer brewery. The park was empty because it was about 100 degrees outside. I fucked up my foot on this curved wallride and was out of commission for the rest of the trip.

Slappin the Arch.

Another vert wall. This one was along the water. As you can tell from the photo, it goes on for quite some distance.

Sam and Andy took us to this crazy abandoned water slide at the very top of this hill. It was the most amazing thing I have ridden to date.

Crazy ass snake run/water slide.

Have you?

Beer couch doesnt look too comfortable.

I forgot how we ended up involved in this but it was a great way to end the trip.
Gold mine
Last week Tom was nice enough to go through his attic and hand over to me a shoebox full of old GHB tapes. These 33 tapes were recorded from about 2001-2004 and are a gold mine of old shit. Over 24 hours of lost footage from South Beach, road trips and everyone who is considered “old” now.
Highlights include:
- South Beach ramps during each phase: new, damaged, burnt and on the verge of total collapse.
- Alexis eating a bunch of shit.
- Alexis breaking his tooth at East Coast Terminal.
- Alexis searching for his broken tooth at East Coast Terminal while every continues to ride.
- Tom’s broken teeth.
- The JCC pool being drained and shredded.
- Ed Pollio breaking the law on several occasions
- Drunken Guy Verdarosa and his cactus.
- Canada road trip featuring a naked Sebass.
- The aftermath of Rob Darden being punched through a window in Ed’s van.
- An Ed Pollio edit.
- Various run ins with the law.
- and much much more…
Once I find a reliable way to get all of the footage off I’ll be posting bits and pieces onto the site, but I think the ultimate plan is to save the bulk of it for the GHB 2004 video that never was and possibly including it in the full length video that will be coming in the near future.

Alexis after breaking his face at East Coast Terminal
Alexis getting ass raped. And yes he told the cop that he was ass raping him.
Here’s the intro done by Tom to the video that never was.
Halloween weekend photos
Here’s a bunch of photos from my phone that I took over this eventful weekend. Friday was the Red Bull Jam and then the after party, Saturday’s photos are already up in another post but I threw up some from the partying afterwards and Sunday was more ramp building followed by a big bon fire and some shredding. Enjoy.
Here’s a blurry shot of the course with the hearse in the center. It was fucking freezing that night I don’t know how anyone even attempted to ride.
The best costume of the entire weekend. Dom Biro as a Four Loko, holding a Four Loko.
Tom always looks so pissed. I think it’s the Polish in him. I wonder what they’re looking at.
Sebass quit riding to keep and maintain an active book collection. Look at how little his eyes are.
The bar was packed as shit. This is only the downstairs section too. Before we got inside we had to wait on some line with a velvet rope like we were going into some highfalutin club.
The bar eventually got shut down because it was way over capacity. You can’t really tell from this photo but theres a cop at the end of the street blocking it off. Ivan parked on this block and was stuck cause of this.
Guy is an old man with a wife and kid and was very happy that the bar closed so that he could go home and get to bed.
These next photos are from Saturday night. We all headed out to Martini Red. Highlights include the slowest bartender in the world, lot’s of face paint, a mickey mouse costume Tom really liked and a guest appearance by Guy’s sister.
Mary went as a dead Mary.
This photos makes me want to shave.
Guy rubbed some black shit all over his face and smiled real big.
Tom and Guy were wearing the same shirt so Guy decided to do the same makeup as Tom. Homos.
Gary grew this wild mustache right at the bar! Incredbile!
Guys sister dressed up as Guy. That’s Gary’s hand poking her.
And finally the next few photos is from the Jam. I didn’t take too many pictures but Zack did film a bunch so there should be an edit soon.
This is the new quarter that’s after the new box. As usual there are 3 people working, 6 people watching and 1 person taking the photo.
Ed Pollio hard at work on his favorite new ramp.
Alex even took time out of burning things to screw some shit in. Here he is dressed up as his favorite drink, semen.
Here is the just about finished setup. There are only a few more things to be added to the main section. Lots of double layering to be done.
The fire went from 10am til 10pm. Here’s everyone taking a break from building.
All in all it was a great weekend. I ate a bunch of shit on the ramps and Ed Pollio yelled at a bunch of kids for not working to his standards.
Old riding pictures
Around 3 years ago I fucked up while upgrading my computer and accidentally erased all of my stuff. Years of pictures were lost with the click of a button. I gave up looking for the photos for a while but then remembered that my friend Sebastian had most of my pictures backed up. Heres a few of the riding photos I thought would be funny to post, but theres a ton more. Most of these are from 2003-2005.
The man that saved my photos. Sebastian – Fufanu on the 5 foot quarter back railing during the first contest at the Ben Soto skatepark circa 2005. I think to this day he is the only one to do this. Too bad he gave up riding for studying.
Augie – Flipwhip over the big box at the Ben Soto skatepark contest of 2005.
I could not believe this picture when I saw it. Little Mike when he was still little. Little Mike blew away the competition in the beginner class and took home the win. I remember for his last trick he landed a feeble to barspin on the side of the big box jump. Things change fast.
Here’s little mike training hard with a barspin drop in as Vin Formisano creepily looks on. Check out the writing on Mike’s helmet.
Yours truly with a dog piss air. Check out how new the ramps look, crazy how destroyed they are now 5 years later. Also notice the lack of the spine, I don’t know how we lived without it.
Vin Formisano blasting the 6 foot as a young Little Dyke looks on.
Sebass getting high at Hackettstown. Now he gets high on the smell of new books.
This picture used to hang up on the wall to the entrance of Hackettstown skatepark until Shane stole it and put it up in his apartment.
This was right after I built my new Kink Freebird frame. This was probably around 2003, before cassettes, pivotals, and integrated seat post clamps.
Eat. Sleep. Ride.
Chris Neighbors riding the bull. Checkout the sidekick in between those giant laptops.
Paino with a big fufanu some years back at Lakewood. I really liked this setup, I used to be there almost every weekend.
Spam flexing hard on the wall slap at lakewood.
Scotty Cranmer flairing the sky at Lakewood.
In 2004 me, Sebastian, Gerry Lyle and Scotty took a road trip down to florida for the UGP Roots Jam. This is before Scotty was hot shit and had 12 exotic cars and a 20 bedroom house. This was taken in North Carolina at my friend Spencer’s Mini Ramp. Scotty took first place at Roots this year and went home with his parents instead of us cause he was annoyed by the drinking. What a wuss.
Spam got really drunk, cheated on his girlfriend and then passed out in his own puke at one of Sebastian’s parties. After taking this picture we all chipped in for a cab to take him home.
The last year I was at Woodward during the summer was 2005 when I worked as a dish dog. Paino was there as a camper and we made it our mission to learn backflips. This is my first attempt on a real box.
Here is Paino’s first attempt. He did about 2 more and never did them again. Instead he opted for 10 foot flairs.
Cabin 23Bupsy. This was when I was a camper in 2003.
Me and my boy Allistair Whitton just hanging out like we always do at Roots Jam 2003.
Icepick grind at South Beach on the 7 foot quarter. This still is my favorite place I have ever ridden.
Theres a ton more photos and some videos that I’m gonna post up a little later. Check back soon for more.
Sebastian sent me this Amazing Building.
